To attach an auxiliary sinker 5 whose weight is highly accurately adjusted when attaching a main sinker 4 and the auxiliary sinker 5 to the top/bottom of a float main body 2 for making a float 1 self-stand, the float including the float body 2 and a top 3.SOLUTION: A self-standing float 1 whose weight is highly accurately adjusted, is manufactured by: adjusting a weight of an auxiliary sinker 5, with a precursor 11 of a float body put in water, the precursor formed by cutting a body material 8, with a weight-adjusted main sinker 4 attached to the lower side of the body material 8 and applying a coating material 10 thereto; and attaching the weight-adjusted auxiliary sinker 5 to the float.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
