Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method for a flat square wire capable of removing an insulating coat film efficiently and with good yield when manufacturing the flat square wire.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method for a flat square wire 1' includes: a molding step S3 of molding a corner portion 6 into a sloped shape by expanding the corner portion 6 between a flatwise-side flat portion and an edgewise-side flat portion of a flat square wire 1 in the flatwise direction; and a removing step S4 of removing an insulating coat film 2b covering the edgewise-side flat portion from a conductor 5 which becomes a main body of the flat square wire 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
