To provide a manufacturing method of fluorescent glass thin sheet capable of manufacturing fluorescent glass thin sheet more surely.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of fluorescent glass thin sheet includes steps of: preparing a fluorescent glass base material 21 having a first principal surface 21a and a second principal surface 21b facing mutually; placing the fluorescent glass base material 21 on a stage 22, and fixing the second principal surface 21b on the stage 22, and abrading the first principal surface 21a of the fluorescent glass base material 21 by an abrasive member 23 having an abrasive layer 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
