To provide a V-ribbed belt having high heat-resistant bending properties, excellent abrasion resistance and sound emission resistance.
The V-ribbed belt 1 is constituted of a stretched part 5 comprising a rubber layer in which short fibers are oriented at random, an adhesive part 2 in which core wires 3 comprising a twist yarn cord are embedded and the compression part 6 arranged under the adhesive part 2. The core wires 3 partially come into contact with the stretched part 5 and the remainder of them is brought into contact with the adhesive part 2. The compression part 6 has a plurality of trapezoidal ribs extending in the longitudinal direction of the belt and having an almost triangular cross section. A flocking layer 9 having a solid lubricant 9a and short fibers 9b is arranged to the side surface 9 of each of the ribs and can be formed by forming an adhesive layer using an adhesive, which is prepared by adding 20-70 wt.% of the solid lubricant with an average primary particle size of 0.15-20 μm to an unvulanized rubber constituting a friction transmission surface and fixing the short fibers to the adhesive layer before vulcanizing the whole.
