To provide a manufacturing method of a friction transmission belt which can suppress the generation of abnormal noise between a pulley and the friction transmission belt and reduces a time and labor required for the manufacturing, a friction transmission belt, and a manufacturing device of the friction transmission belt.
A step for forming a friction transmission surface abutting on a pulley is applied to an outer peripheral surface 7 of a compressed rubber layer 5 of a belt sleeve 1 having a constitution where a core wire and short fiber are embedded in the compressed rubber layer 5. In the step, a belt sleeve 1 is wound around a pair of rolls 51, 52 and rotated by the pair of rolls 51, 52 in a state that tension is generated in the belt sleeve 1. In this case, a grinding wheel 53 is abutted on the outer peripheral surface 7 of the belt sleeve 1 while being rotated. Surface active agents re supplied to contact surfaces 16, 56 between the belt sleeve 1 and grinding wheel 53.
