Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a graphite powder by discharging impurities in a graphite powder raw material at high efficiency with a simple facility to obtain the graphite powder at high purity at low cost.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of a graphite powder using a furnace having a vertical top edge face opened to ambient air and an electrode on an internal surface, including a process for arranging a graphite powder raw material which is embedded in a filler by mixing inorganic siliceous particles and carbonaceous particles and connects electrodes in the furnace, and a process for electric heating the graphite powder raw material, bulk density of the filler is 0.50×10kg/mto 1.2×10kg/m. By heating with the filler with the bulk density, metal oxide is reduced by quickly diffusing SiO gas generated from the filler inside while maintaining a shape of the graphite powder raw material and metal reduced at high efficiency can be discharged to the filler.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
