This manufacturing method for grating comprises a first process for cutting a belt-like long material made of stainless steel into strips 1a having the required length, a second process for letting strip faces 12 abut on each other by keeping the direction of width of the strips as the vertical direction and collecting the strips 1a, a third process for letting the strip faces 12 abut on each other and applying shot-blast treatment on upper face flat parts 13 of a plurality of strips 1a, a fourth process for applying spray treatment on the upper face flat parts 13 having received the shot blast treatment to roughen the upper face flat parts 13, and a fifth process for arranging a plurality of strips 1a having finished the fourth process as main members 1 in parallel by keeping the roughened upper face flat parts 13 above, assembling connection members 2 by crossing them orthogonally like a grid, assembling the strips like a square panel-like body by applying side plates 3 on end parts 14 on both sides of each main member 1, and welding and fixing a joint part to form the grating G by combining each process together.
