Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a hardened steel strip having a satisfactory flatness.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing a hardened steel strip where: an unwinding step where a steel strip is unwound; a hardening step where the steel strip is passed into a tempering furnace, is heated to a temperature higher than a transformation point and is thereafter cooled; a tempering step where the steel strip after the hardening is passed into a tempering furnace and is tempered; a rewinding step where the steel strip after the tempering is rewound are continuously performed. The cooling in the hardening step includes: the first cooling step where the steel strip is cooled to the temperature range of above an Ms point to less than (an Ms point+200°C) by a cooling liquid spray apparatus; a cooling liquid removal step where, after the first cooling step, droplets in the surface of the steel strip are removed by a cooling liquid removal apparatus; and the second cooling step where the steel strip after the cooling liquid removal step is cooled to (an Ms point-50°C) or lower while being held by a cooling surface plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
