Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing gypsum extremely less in fluorine amount and heavy metal amount from a sulfuric acid waste liquid of a nonferrous smelting.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of gypsum having an aluminum melting process for adding metal aluminum or metal aluminum-containing article to a waste water containing hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid and copper and arsenic to melt the metal aluminum, generating a fluoroaluminate ion by a reaction of molten aluminum and fluorine in a liquid and reducing copper and arsenic in the liquid by melting the metal aluminum, a copper arsenic separation process for solid liquid separating reduced copper and arsenic, and a gypsum generation process for generating gypsum by adding a neutralizer containing calcium to a separated liquid content and remaining the fluoroaluminate ion in the liquid, and preferably gypsum having fluorine content of 0.2 mass% or less and arsenic content of 0.1 mass% or less and containing practically no copper is manufactured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
