To provide a manufacturing method for a high pressure storage vessel winding many reinforcing members around a shoulder part to increase mechanical strength of an end part, in particular, the shoulder part having reduced thickness of a reinforcing layer.
In this manufacturing method for the high pressure gas storage vessel 15 manufactured by winding the belt-like reinforcing members 13 around a peripheral face of a liner after molding the liner 4 into a tank shape, a wind-around auxiliary member 6 covering at least the shoulder part 4C of the liner to increase the number of windings of the reinforcing member 13 wound around the shoulder part 4C is attached to a part in the vicinity of boundary of a barrel part 4A and the end part 4B of the liner, and the reinforcing member 13 is also wound around the wind-around auxiliary member 6 when winding the reinforcing member 13 around the peripheral face of the liner. The wind-around auxiliary member 6 is provided with a liner contact face 7 adhered closely to a liner mounting part, an inclined face 8 around which the reinforcing member is wound in hoop winding, and a curvature face 9 covering the shoulder part 4C around which the reinforcing member is wound in helical winding.
