To provide a high toughness concrete shaped article comprising a cement composite material, which maintains successful workability and has elongation at break of ≥0.5% without causing lowering of strength even in a conventional concrete formulation, and a method of producing the same.
In the high toughness concrete shaped article, crushed chips of a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, obtained by crushing and classifying a hardened carbon fiber-reinforced plastic are mixed in a range of 3-20 wt.% to the weight of cement. Thereby, the high toughness concrete shaped article exhibits fracture strain of ≥0.5%. The high toughness concrete shaped article is obtained by a production method including precast forming, comprising inpouring a cement composite material, in which CFRP crushed chips each having length of 5-40 mm and an aspect ratio in a range of 2-8 are mixed in an amount of 3-20 wt.% to the weight of cement, into a molding flask, and performing steam curing or natural curing.
