Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hook-and-loop fastener functional fabric that eliminates a surface texture such as "must be a hook-and-loop fastener like shape" produced by having engagement hooks in a hook-and-loop fastener, and secures a sufficient peeling force (tensile shear strength) as a hook-and-loop fastener by the engagement of melted lumps formed as engagement hooks, and has an excellent softness as a fabric.SOLUTION: The fabric includes a nap layer 12 which comprises nap fibers 11 formed from thermoplastic synthetic fibers having a single fiber fineness M of 0.3 dtex or more and 10.0 dtex or less on at least one of front and rear sides. The nap layer 12 is irradiated with laser beams. The fabric includes: a male type fibers 14 having melted lumps 13 formed by melting the nap fiber 11 by the laser irradiation and having a maximum dimension D that is two times or more and five times or less of a single fiber diameter t of the nap fiber 11; and a non-male type fibers 15 which do not have a melted lump 13.
