To provide a manufacturing method of a housing for a fuel injection valve of high productivity.
This manufacturing method of the housing for the fuel injection valve of a nozzle integral type is provided with a process for sequentially deep-drawing a plate material comprising a high tensile strength steel having Vickers hardness of 300 or more to an integrally formed bottomed cylindrical member by die molding in plural steps, and a process for boring an injection hole on a bottom part of the cylindrical member in any of steps of die-molding in the deep-drawing process so as to form a nozzle. At least one die molding step of the deep-drawing process and the boring process are performed by a ceramic die. When the ceramic die is adopted for deep-drawing, the attack property to the material is low, interaction with a mating material to which plastic working is performed is smaller than expected, the die life is long, and accuracy of the manufactured housing is high. Especially, a shape of the injection port formed on the bottomed part of a housing end for the fuel injection valve can be accurately achieved compared to the case wherein a die material used for ordinary deep-drawing such as the high tensile strength steel is used.
