Abstract:

PURPOSE: To manufacture an injection molded part without any defect by making a movable side mold approach a fixed side mold after charging molten resin into a cavity, and pressing a side mold against the inside on the sloped surface for prevention of shrinkage, warp or deformation.
CONSTITUTION: A mold is closed to a prescribed position by the clamping mechanism of a molding machine to keep a fixed side mold 1 and a movable side metal 2 opened a little. With the approach of the fixed side mold 2, the sloped surface 222 of a clamping mold 22 slides on the sloped surface 112 of a side mold 11, and the side mold 11 is pressed inwards. By driving a cylinder 3, a core mold 21 is made to approach, and a core mold 21 is brought into contact with the lower surface of the side mold 11 to form a cavity 4. The molten resin 6 is charged into the cavity 4 at a low pressure, and after the completion of injection, clamping starts as soon as switching is made to dwell. By this compression process, uniform compression force is applied to the molten resin 6 over the overall side surface.
