Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an inorganic fiber assembly having excellent heat resistance and cycled face pressure.SOLUTION: The inorganic fiber assembly is obtained by assembling an alumina-silica fiber having an alumina content of more than or equal to 82 wt.% and less than 90 wt.% and θ alumina rate measured as follows of less than or equal to 25 wt.%. θ alumina powder [TAIMICRON TM-100; TAIMEI CHEMICALS CO., LTD.] is used as the standard substance, and powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectrum is measured, and peak intensity (h) of 2θ=44.5-45°, which is the characteristic peak of θ alumina, is measured. XRD spectrum of the measurement target object is measured under the same measuring conditions, and the peak intensity (h) of 2θ=44.5-45° is measured. By using the peak intensity (h) of the standard substance is regarded as 100 wt.% of θ alumina, the value calculated by h/his defined as θ alumina rate.SELECTED DRAWING: None
