Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an intermediate transfer belt which has high conveyance stability and is capable of maintaining conveyance stability for a long period of time to high-speed driving of the intermediate transfer belt.SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method of an intermediate transfer belt of a single layer or double layer or more in which an innermost layer of the intermediate transfer belt consists of a rubber or resin material containing an urethane group. The method at least has: (i) an innermost layer forming process of forming an innermost layer of the intermediate transfer belt; (ii) a rear face roughening process in which, when a rear surface of the innermost layer of the intermediate transfer belt is a rear face, surface roughness Ra of the rear face is adjusted to 0.2 to 0.4 μm; and (iii) a rear face impregnation treatment process in which impregnation treatment is applied to the rear face of the intermediate transfer belt by an isocyanate compound.
