Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the underfill of an internal tooth when a cylindrical portion is formed out of a blank by a roller member to form the internal tooth on an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion. SOLUTION: In the wall-build-up step, a roller member 30 having a wall-build- up portion 32 on the tip side on an outer circumferential surface 30c and a tooth profile forming portion 31 on a rear end side is used, an annular portion 92 protruded in an annular shape from a mandrel 50 of a blank 90 is diagonally pressed toward an outer tooth 51 of the mandrel 50 by the wall-build-up portion 32 in a substantially cylindrical shape, and bent to form an outwardly projecting cylindrical portion 95. Next, in an internal tooth forming step, the tooth profile forming portion 31 is moved along the axis C2 of the mandrel 50 while the cylindrical portion 95 is pressed against the outer tooth 51 of the mandrel 50 by the tooth profile forming portion 31 of the roller member 30 to form an inner tooth is formed on an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion 95. Since the inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical portion 95 can be bitten into the outer tooth 51 of the mandrel 50 by the wall-build-up portion 32, the underfill can be prevented.
