Abstract:
A joint body constructed of at least one pair of substrates (11c) comprising an aluminum matrix composite which is made of an aluminum or aluminum alloy matrix and a reinforcing ceramic, is made using an infiltrating material (2) made of an aluminum alloy placed between the substrates or against one substrate whose opposite face contacts the other substrate. This assembly is heated in vacuum to melt the matrix and the infiltrating material.
