Abstract:
To provide an industrially advantageous manufacturing method that realizes simple and high-yielding manufacture of laurolactam in the manufacture of laurolactam by a Beckmann rearrangement reaction of cyclododecanone oxime.
The manufacturing method of laurolactam comprises subjecting cyclododecanone oxime to a Beckmann rearrangement reaction using a non-polar solvent in the presence of phosphorus pentoxide and zinc chloride. Thus, an industrially advantageous manufacturing method of laurolactam that enables simple and high-yielding manufacture of laurolactam is provided.
