Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a lensed optical fiber that enables a reduction in coupling loss to achieve efficient optical coupling.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a lensed optical fiber includes: a polishing step of subjecting a tip end of an optical fiber part 122 to polishing in two or more times while changing an inclination angle of an axis ax of the optical fiber part 122 relative to a polishing surface; and a lens formation step of processing the vicinity of a ridge line of a wedge shape 125 formed in the polishing step into a lens shape by melting the wedge shape 125.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
