Title:
MANUFACTURING METHOD OF LIQUID COOLED GAS TURBINE PARTS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS53137317
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
The cast blade (42) for a gas turbine has channels machined in its surface. Copper tubes (44) are put in the channels and secured by solder (46). A copper sheet (48) is placed over the outside of the tubes and covered in turn by an alloy outer skin (50) shaped to give the required blade profile. The assembly is immersed at this stage in a container (40) of molten glass (54) and subjected to heat. The molten glass is then replaced by nitrogen (56) at atmospheric pressure and a very high temperature. After being soaked in this temperature the assembly is put in an autoclave and subjected to a pressure and heat cycling process. At the end of this the components of the blade have been fused into a single structure.
