To provide a manufacturing method of a magnet capable of reducing a manufacturing cost by reducing a number of steps for manufacturing a magnet in which a rust-proof coating layer is formed on its surface.
A manufacturing method of a magnet S having a coating layer Sa on a surface of a magnet body Sb comprises the steps of: forming a molding space C1 of the magnet S by combining a movable die 21 and a fixed die 22 of a mold 20 and attaching a coating material to an inner wall surface Cs of the molding space C1; forming a coating layer Sa on the inner wall surface Cs by melting the coating material attached to the inner wall surface Cs by raising the temperature of a gas in the molding space C1; filling a region inside the coating layer Sa in the molding spaces C1 with a magnet material; and forming a magnet body Sb by solidifying the magnet material.
