Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method for a magnetic multi-polar encoder capable of manufacturing simple and inexpensive, and capable of obtaining a magnetic stripe pattern with high precision.

The manufacturing method for the magnetic multi-polar encoder provides a supporting body, and at least one track composed of a magnetizable material, wherein a stripe-shaped polarization part having alternative polarization is provided on the track composed of the magnetizable material by the action of a magnetic field applied from the outside; in a first step the magnetic track is polarized, in advance, by a single polarity; and in a second step, the track which has been polarized in advance is magnetized in reverse, to the opposite polarity in the stripe-shaped region.
