To provide a method for producing a magnetic powder for a powder magnetic core, which has more excellent magnetic properties than a conventional one, by increasing the specific resistance of a magnetic powder that has been produced with a water atomization method without increasing the coercivity, when using the magnetic powder as a material of the powder magnetic core.
The method for producing the magnetic powder for the powder magnetic core comprises: a spheroidizing step of spheroidizing the magnetic powder by mechanically-impacting the magnetic powder which has been produced with the water atomization method to crush the magnetic powder; and a reducing and annealing step of reducing and annealing the spheroidized magnetic powder. In the reducing and annealing step, the spheroidized magnetic powder is reduced and annealed while being crushed.
