Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain satisfactory adhesiveness between a board and particles.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a magnetic recording medium includes the steps of: forming a fusion layer over a board; forming a support layer including silicon over the fusion layer: forming a single particle layer using particles containing a metal fusible with the fusion layer over the support layer; etching silicon dioxide in the support layer by using an etching solution which contains hydrogen fluoride and hydrogen peroxide; embedding the particles in the support layer until the particles come into contact with the fusion layer; and heating the particles and the fusion layer to fuse with each other. Thus, a magnetic recording layer is formed over the single particle layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
