To provide a manufacturing method of a matrix which enables easier manufacture of the matrix of high precision by selecting the optimum material for the matrix and by processing it properly, the matrix manufactured by this method, a making method of a mold for molding an optical element which uses this matrix, and a making method of the optical element molded by this mold.
Resin materials meeting necessary conditions of solvent resistance and hardness are present in large numbers, and as to heat resistance, some thermoplastic plastics have sufficient characteristics thereof. In other words, these resin materials are suitable for the matrix used on the occasion of forming the mold for molding the optical element by making electroforming grow, on condition that they do not soften at a baking temperature being about 180°C generally.
