Abstract:

To provide a method for manufacturing a (meth)acrylic copolymer in high efficiency by tracing down inconvenient causes since in a (meth)acrylic copolymer solution obtained by a conventional method, after solution polymerization, staining adheres in a vent box or piping in a case a solvent is deaerated, and disadvantage that pressure rise of a filter happens in a filter purification process in a polymer filter at the time of melt extrusion arises.

The method for manufacturing a (meth)acrylic copolymer comprises polymerizing a monomer component including a vinyl monomer which has a ring structure and a (meth)acrylic monomer by radical solution polymerization, wherein in the vinyl monomer which has the ring structure, a part thereof or all is fed in a polymerization vessel before polymerization initiation, in the (meth)acrylic monomer, at most 70 mass% is fed in the polymerization vessel before polymerization initiation in 100 mass% of the (meth)acrylic monomer, and the remainder is added gradually.
