To provide a preparation method which enables the preparation of a microreactor having high efficiency of a reforming reaction to generate hydrogen from hydrocarbon fuel.
In a process of forming a groove member, a microgroove member is formed on one face of at least one of a pair of metal substrates. In a process of forming a catalyst-support layer, a catalyst-support layer is formed in the microgroove member. In a bonding process, a pair of metal substrates are bonded to form a conjugate equipped with a tunnel-like flow path constituted of the microgroove member disposed therein, and with a raw material introduction port and a gas discharge port each communicating with the tunnel-like flow path. In a process of supporting a catalyst, the tunnel-like flow path is filled with a precursor solution comprising a Cu precursor in a concentration range of 10 to 200 mmol/L, a Zn precursor in a concentration range of 5 to 100 mmol/L, and a reducing agent in a concentration range of 20 to 400 mmol/L, and the precursor solution filled therein is subjected to a heat treatment to cause the catalyst-support layer present in the tunnel-like flow path to support a Cu-Zn catalyst, and thereafter the precursor solution is removed from the inside of the tunnel-like flow path.
