Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method of modified fly ash and an apparatus for modifying fly ash, with which fly ash can be stably and efficiently modified.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of modified fly ash F4 comprises: a preheating process of preheating fly ash F1 in a non-self-burning environment where unburned carbon contained in the fly ash does not self-burn; and a heating process of supplying fly ash F3 having passed the preheating process to an external heat type rotary kiln 4 together with combustion gas A2, and heating the fly ash in a self-burning environment where unburned carbon contained in the fly ash self-burns. Further, a fly ash modifying apparatus 1 is provided that comprises: a preheating device 3 for preheating supplied fly ash F1 in the non-self-burning environment where unburned carbon contained in the fly ash does not self-burn; and the external heat type rotary kiln 4 for heating the fly ash F3 preheated in the preheating device 3 and supplied, in the self-burning environment where unburned carbon contained in the fly ash self-burns.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
