To provide a manufacturing method for a modified polymer with small rolling resistance and excellent in a mechanical characteristic such as tensile strength, a wet skid resistance and a wear-resistance, to provide a modified polymer obtained by it, and to provide a rubber composition using it.
The manufacturing method for the modified polymer is provided with the step for performing a modification reaction, i.e., reacting an alkoxysilane compound with an active terminal end of a conjugated diene based polymer having an alkali metal active terminal end obtained by singly using a diene based monomer or also using other monomers and anion-polymerizing it in a hydrocarbon solvent using an alkali metal based starting agent, and a step for performing a condensation reaction in the presence of a condensation promotor comprising a compound of an element belonging to at least one of Group 4A (except for Ti), Group 2B, Group 3B and Group 5B of a periodic table.
