Abstract:
To provide a molded body which is excellent in mechanical strength such as high rigidity and abrasion resistance and has texture and moisture absorption, which are equivalent to wood, and a manufacturing method of the molded body.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a molded body includes the steps of: steam-treating wood chips; impregnating the wood chips which are steam-treated in phenol resin; and flow-molding the wood chips impregnated in phenol resin at 160°C or higher and pressure of 25 MPa or higher. The molded body is the molded body in which the plurality of wood chips are interface-welded by impregnating the plurality of wood chips which are steam-treated in phenol resin and flow-molding the wood chips.SELECTED DRAWING: None
