Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a nickel-based desulfurizing agent which can efficiently adsorb off sulfur contents in a petroleum-based hydrocarbon, especially kerosene, down to a low concentration and has a long life. SOLUTION: This method for producing a desulfurizing agent comprising nickel carried on a silica-alumina carrier is characterized by mixing an acidic aqueous dispersion containing a nickel source and an alumina source and having a pH value of <=2 with a basic aqueous solution containing a nickel source and an inorganic base, taking out the resulting solid product and then calcining the product.
