Abstract:
To provide a non-crimped staple fiber having excellent high productivity and high quality.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing non-crimped staple fibers comprising: drawing tows obtained by converging one or more undrawn multifilaments after spinning in a continuous way without storing into cans, in which at least one place of a roller during drawing has surface temperature of 120°C or less and a total draw ratio is 1.5 to 5.5; subjecting the drawn tow to an overfeed treatment, in which at least one place of a roller during overfeeding has surface temperature of 140 to 240°C and a total draft ratio is 0.88 to 0.98; and cutting the drawn tow into 1 to 35 mm length in a continuous way.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
