Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method of an optical member which, in forming an optical member such as a lens by the droplet ejection method, can decrease defective fabrication of electro-optic elements due to poor formation of the optical member.

Since the droplet has hydrophilicity and the member to transfer the droplet also has hydrophilicity, by a first member-transfer process, the droplet is adsorbed on the surface of the member, and a boundary tension works between the droplet and the member. By a second member-transfer process, by the boundary tension, the droplet is transferred to the area of the optical functional surface whereto the optical member is to be formed.
