The manufacturing method of the organic EL element, involving at least one organic EL element equipped with a first electrode, a first organic function layer, a second organic function layer, a second electrode, and a sealing layer on a base material, comprises a first coating process coating liquid for forming the second organic function layer on the first organic function layer with a first droplet discharging means so as to have an interval, a first drying process drying a coated film formed, a second coating process of coating the second coating liquid for forming the second organic function layer on an uncoated area of a discontinuous second organic function layer formed at the first drying process, and a second drying process drying the coated film formed.
