Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of producing a plurality of oxide superconductive wire material by fusion-cutting an oxide superconductor by means of a laser beam.SOLUTION: An oxide superconductor comprising a tape-like substrate, an intermediate layer, an oxide superconducting layer, and a silver stabilization layer is irradiated with a laser beam from the outside on the stabilization layer formation side along the length direction of the substrate. In producing an oxide superconductive wire material, the oxide superconductor is divided into a plurality of portions in the width direction thereof by fusion-cutting the stabilization layer, the oxide superconducting layer, the intermediate layer and the substrate. When the stabilization layer, the oxide superconducting layer, the intermediate layer and the substrate are fusion-cut while blowing shield gas to the fusion-cutting position, a protective layer is formed by extending the molten solidification body of the stabilization layer in the ejecting direction of the shield gas to cover the fusion-cutting part at the edge of the oxide superconducting layer and the fusion-cutting part at the edge of the intermediate layer.
