Abstract:
To provide a formation method of a passivation film to suppress the generation of a dark spot.
In an organic EL element having at least a color filter layer, a color conversion layer, a flattening layer, a first electrode, an organic EL layer including an organic luminous layer, and a second electrode, this manufacturing method of a passivation layer prevents the deterioration of the organic EL layer caused by the infiltration of moisture existing in the color filter layer, the color conversion layer, and/or the flattening layer, and comprises a process to form untreated passivation films (14, 19) and a grinding process to obtain the passivation layers (18, 20) by grinding the untreated passivation films.
