A process is provided for preparing a photoelectric conversion cell equipped with a first substrate 1 having a first main face and a through hole 8 opened to the first main face, a second substrate 7 having a second main face opposed to the first main face, a photoelectric converter arranged between the first main face and the second main face, and a frame part 5 connecting the first main face to the second main face and surrounding the photoelectric converter. Further, a process is included that a sealing material 9 capable of fusing by absorption of light is inserted into the through hole 8 and the through hole 8 is sealed by fusing the sealing material 9 with local irradiation of light on the same 9.
