Abstract:
Producing an article comprising internal fittings in a hollow thermoplastic body comprises placing a strip- or tube-shaped preform of plasticated resin between the open parts of a mold cavity, placing the fittings between the mold parts, closing the mold, forming the hollow body in the mold cavity and pressing the fittings against the inner wall of the body while it is still plastic so that the resin of the body flows into openings in the fittings. An independent claim is also included for a hollow plastic body with an attachment part (1) that is bonded to the body during its production, where the part has an opening (3) through which plastic from the wall (4) of the body passes in the vicinity of the contact surface (6) between the part and the wall.
