Abstract:
To manufacture a polarizer having less optical defects.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes: a wet treatment process of transporting a long-sized belt-like film master roll containing hydrophilic polymer in a longer direction, coloring the film master roll in a coloring liquid as well as drawing; a cleaning process of cleansing the wet-treated film master roll in a cleansing liquid; and a desiccation process of desiccating the film master roll cleansed in the cleansing liquid. The cleaning process includes a cleansing liquid coating process of coating one side of the film master roll with the cleansing liquid using a coating roll 6. In the desiccation process, the film master roll is desiccated while the film master roll is transported by guide rolls inside an enclosure 81 of a heating part having the housing 81 having the plurality of guide rolls.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
