Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method for a polishing body that polishes a tooth surface of a gear while rotating in engagement with the gear, which can be assembled with respect to a plurality of divided pieces laminated in a shaft direction of a rotating shaft, with less assembling error and which allows polishing layers to be easily formed individually in the divided pieces respectively.SOLUTION: A laminated body is assembled by laminating a plurality of sheet materials in a shaft direction of a rotating shaft, and a tooth or a spiral screw thread is formed at an outer periphery side of the laminated body to mold a polishing body. The polishing body is separated into divided pieces of the sheet materials, and polishing layers are formed on outer peripheral surfaces of the separated divided pieces. After the polishing layers are formed, the plurality of divided pieces are laminated to reassemble the polishing body, using a reference previously formed in the polishing body as an index.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
