Abstract:

To provide a carbon fiber sheet and a porous carbon board suitable to construct a gas dispersion structure of a fuel battery without warping.

The carbon fiber sheet comprises a carbon short strand, a thermoplastic resin and a thermosetting resin obtained by impregnating a carbon fiber paper with a thermosetting resin and then heating them to evaporate a solvent. The carbon fiber sheet has a peak area strength ratio C (=B/A) of the thermoplastic resin and the thermosetting resin and a peak area strength ratio F (E/D) both of which areas satisfy 0.7 F), wherein the peak areas on one surface of the thermoplastic resin and the thermosetting resin are represented by A and B, respectively, and the peak areas on the other surfaces of the thermoplastic resin and the thermosetting resin are represented by D and E, respectively, the areas being obtained by the Fourier transform infrared absoption spectrometry ATR method. A porous carbon board is obtained from the carbon fiber sheet.
