Abstract:
To provide a method for manufacturing a positive electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary battery, which is arranged to use polyvinylidene fluoride as a binding material, which can suppress the increase in viscosity with time for a positive electrode mixture material paste, and which allows a nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary battery to achieve a high low-temperature output.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a positive electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte lithium secondary battery, which is disclosed herein, comprises the steps of: using a positive electrode active material, polyvinylidene fluoride, anhydrous acetic acid and a solvent to prepare a positive electrode mixture material paste; coating a positive electrode current collector with the positive electrode mixture material paste; and drying the coated positive electrode mixture material paste. The mass ratio of LiOH included in the positive electrode active material to the polyvinylidene fluoride is 0.040 or more and 0.075 or less. The amount of the anhydrous acetic acid to a total amount of solid components is 0.01 mass% or more and 0.2 mass% or less in preparing the positive electrode mixture material paste.SELECTED DRAWING: None
