To provide a manufacturing method of a power distribution apparatus bushing which can guarantee ample sealing of a penetrating hole in a dividing wall inside an insulator pipe.
A packing compressing jig 57 is rotated to raise together a cable connector 3 and an insulator pipe 1. After the insulator pipe 1 touches a waiting insulator pipe holding part 75, the packing compressing jig 57 is rotated and a ring packing 33 is compressed. This compressing precess is measured by a load-measuring means 87, and the rotation of the packing compressing jig 57 is stopped, when the measured value reaches a predetermined value. Then, the insulator pipe 1 is pushed down by the insulator pipe holding part 75 and the ring packing 33 is compressed by the dividing wall 13 of the insulator pipe 1. Compressing of the ring packing 33 is stopped, either if the push down volume of the insulator pipe 1 by an insulator pipe push down mechanism 77 reaches a predetermined volume, or if the compressive load on the ring packing 33 reaches a predetermined value, or if both of these conditions are satisfied.
