Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a noble metal-supported catalyst for exhaust gas purification capable of suppressing grain growth of a catalyst metal even under a severe use environment and obtaining high catalyst activity life.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for producing a noble metal-supported catalyst for exhaust gas purification which comprises: a first step of dispersing ceramic substrate particles in a solvent having reducibility to prepare a complexed reaction solution in which a noble metal salt is dissolved; a second step of heating the complexed reaction solution by microwave irradiation to reduce the noble metal ions and supporting the reduced noble metal fine particles on the ceramic substrate particles; and a third step of removing the solvent, and further, as necessary, comprises a fourth step of forming an oxide coating film on the surface of the ceramic substrate particles by the surface precipitation treatment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
