Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing purified ethylene high boiling point residue oil capable of being suitably used as a raw material of a carbon nanotube or a carbon fiber and having low content of an iron component from a high boiling point residue oil collected from an ethylene manufacturing facility as a high boiling point component.SOLUTION: A purified ethylene high boiling point residue oil having reduced iron component content of 10 wt.ppm or less is manufactured by a centrifugal separation treatment of an iron-containing high boiling point residue oil collected from an ethylene manufacturing facility. The centrifugal separation treatment is preferably conducted by using a screw type or a disk type centrifugal separator at 5000 to 10000 G.SELECTED DRAWING: None
