Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a rare earth magnet, achieving good wettability of a lubricant (lubricating liquid) relative to a sintered body in manufacturing a rare earth magnet by attaching the lubricant (lubricating liquid) to the sintered body to perform hot plasticity processing.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a rare earth magnet includes: a first step of coating a mold release agent R containing a solid lubricant on an inner face of a mold M, housing powder for a magnet in the mold M, and compression-molding and sintering the powder to manufacture a sintered body S; and a second step of immersing the sintered body S into a lubricating liquid L that contains a solid lubricant, attaching the solid lubricant on the surface of the sintered body S while applying supersonic vibration, and subjecting the sintered body S to hot plasticity processing to manufacture a rare earth magnet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
