Abstract:
To prevent the generation of swelling in corner parts of a vane in the final condition after processing nitriding.
The vane is formed by previously finishing a vane material, and used in the condition wherein a white layer (a compound layer) of the most surface layer formed by nitriding is left as it is. Since swelling is generated by nitriding each of corners of the vane, each of corners of the vane is chamfered by barrelling before nitriding. With this method, swelling in each of corners can be reduced even in the case of nitriding thereafter.
