Abstract:
This rotary electrical machine is provided with: a stator having a stator core, stator slots arranged in the circumferential direction of the stator core, and a stator winding disposed in the stator slots; and a rotor having a rotor core, rotor slots arranged in the circumferential direction of the rotor core, rotor bars disposed in the rotor slots, and rotor slits disposed on the outer circumferential side of the rotor core so as to be contiguous with the rotor slots. The pole number falls within a predetermined pole number range. The height of the stator slots at respective openings thereof, the width of the stator slots at respective openings thereof, and the width of the rotor slits, are determined such that the amount of change in the permeance ratio of the rotor slits corresponding to a change in the pole number within the predetermined pole number range becomes smaller than the slot permeance ratio at the openings of the stator slots. The stator is configured to have a cross-section shape that remains substantially the same across the pole number range.
