Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a manufacturing method for a rotating electric machine that can inspect a step between segments and a pitch angle with high reliability and with ease and that can obtain the rotating electric machine wherein the step between the segments is small and the pitch angle is constant, and to provide a commutator measuring device that can inspect the step between the segments and the pitch angle with high reliability and with ease.
SOLUTION: A commutator 54 is patterned on a gauge head 52 of which the dimension along the axial direction of the commutator 54 is sufficiently longer than a clearance between protrusions of cutter marks formed at external surfaces of the segments 56 and of which the width is sufficiently larger than a clearance between the segments 56. Among data thus obtained, data except for data in a range corresponding to the clearance of the segments 56 is processed using a least-squares method, and a dimension between intersection points of curves obtained by the data processed using the least-squares method is calculated as the step between the segments. As a result, there is no individual difference in the obtained step between the segments and the pitch angle, thus easily obtaining the step and the pitch angle by an automatic calculation.
